Abacus is an independent power producer that invests and develops various solar power plants across the world. We have completed projects in Italy and Bulgaria and are currently developing projects in Romania and Japan. The project manager is expected to be involved in every aspect of the project development process. The project manager is expected to work closely with a team of outside professionals made up of attorneys, accountants, engineers, financial institutions etc. through the entire project development process to complete the development of new solar power plants. So of the process that the project will be involved with are: project development, project evaluation, project acquisition, legal due diligence, technical due diligence, selection of construction company, negotiation of financing, negotiation of construction contract, monitoring of construction, etc. The ideal candidate for the job must be detail oriented, has strong language skill and has a background in finance. Construction or EPC project management background would be a plus. Fluency in Japanese would also be a big plus. Background in solar field is a bonus. The job will require extensive traveling. The first 3 months of probation period will be spent in Romania. In 2013, we expect to be building projects in both Japan and Romania. Each year, the candidate should expect to spend about 8 months overseas. |
